Update from 9-19-12

Shalom, bibliophiles. I have been absent because I am very ill. I have hours, literally, of vlog entries just sitting for me to edit and post, and I have hours more to shoot (boxes of books and comic books just sitting, waiting for me to get better). Yes, I was ill all of last week, and, two days ago, on Monday, my dermatologist wanted to admit me to the hospital, but I don't have health insurance and suggested that was not an option now. She, my dermatologist, sort of, understood and placed me on lots of medication; if this doesn't help, then I might still need to go to hospital, sigh.

Any way, this is an update about me and comic books that arrived last week. Let's see what is going on:

Whew, I am tired. I hope that I can post some of the older vlog entries, like the one that covers 110 books I bought last week, at a book sale. Any way, I better go rest. I am sorry if I seem distant, lost, or out of it, but that's my life, now, sigh.

Box 1 of the 3-5-12 Comic Book Super Score

Shalom, bibliophiles! Yup, this is the first of three boxes that I bought.

I don't know why, of late, I'm buying more comic books than books, but that's just how things go. For a while there, last spring and summer, I only bought poetry and plays, but, by summer, I was buying history and classics. My moods change and part of the buying experience is related to what I find.

Any way, this big vlog entry is just for one box. I have two more on the way, but I might have to wait a day to post them. I hope you enjoyed watching me be shocked by the contents of this box. Thanks for tuning in and please stop by again! Cheers, LBF

Comics from 2-18-12, a week late

Yup, folks, I shot this video back on 2-18-12, but it just sat on my desktop until today, sigh. I noticed it when I went to edit another video because, today, Monday, another 100 comic books arrive, which I will have to examine tomorrow. I hope you enjoy this vlog entry; the comics are mostly from the early 1970s.

Comic Book Update, 2-20-12

Hi, folks, I've been coming apart at the seems, emotionally and mentally, so I am not working efficiently, whether it's for my job, reading, or just doing vlog entries about my books or comic books. Case in point, I shot this footage three days ago, and I've just not been able to bring myself to edit it a bit and post it for folks to see. Sigh.

Such is the life of a person with depression:-( I'm a wreck, the past few weeks, and I can't seem to boost myself out of this rut.

All of that aside, I sure hope that you enjoy this vlog entry; I bought a bunch of neat recent (mostly the past few years) comic books, and I was pretty excited to get them. Thanks for tuning in, and please come by again:-) Cheers, LBF

More Comics, 1-24-12

Shalom, bibliophiles! Here's a short vlog that is the companion to the Batman comic book score because they were all in the same box. This one is a mix of DC and Marvel comic books; many of these are going to my nephew, based on requests (i.e. requests before I even bought this collection).
