Monday Comic Book and DVD Update 10-15-12

Shalom, bibliophiles! As promised, I'm trying to do a vlog entry each day, this week, so I can keep a record of things that recently arrived, so you can see them, and, so, I can then box them up, for moving.

Belated Comic Book Update, 10-13-12 and 10-9-12

Shalom, bibliophiles! As noted in Saturday's vlog entry (10/13/12), I'm going to do postings of comics that arrived over the past week or two, so let's take a look at two stacks of comic books:

Book and Comic Book Update 10-13-12

Shalom, bibliophiles! Well, it's been over a week since my last posting, and this vlog posting explains some of the reasons.

First, I want to thank those people who viewed the Big Book Giveaway and Todd, specifically, for his participation; for that participation, I'm shipping Todd a big box of books soon:-)

Next, I have lots of vlog entries that should be posted, but they'll have to wait (maybe I can go back to doing one per day, if things go smoothly this coming week). Any way, let's see what I scored today:

Belated Comic Book Update, 10-5-12

Part 2: Big Book Giveaway 1

Shalom, bibliophiles! This is Part 2 of the Big Book Giveway, in honor of Banned Books Week. This part is mostly literature, from classics to popular fiction, although there may be some non-fiction tossed into the mix.

Instructions on participation are posted in Part 1, but, in summary:
1) If there is a book or books that you would like, then please post in the Comments section for this vlog entry.
2) Do not post your address or other information; we'll figure out that stuff later, next week.
3) This offer is for this week only, until the end of October 7, 2012.
4) It's first come, first score; however, if you really wanted something and someone else scored it before you, remember the title and email me (or contact me otherwise), and I will try to remember if I have another copy in the storage locker.
5) No guarantees on anything (no guarantees on availability, condition, or shipping speed), but I like to think that I'm a pretty good egg and will stand by my offers.

Part 1: Big Book Giveaway 1

Shalom, bibliophiles! In honor of Banned Books Week and the arrival of fall, I am doing my first Big Book Giveaway. In a nutshell, these are duplicates and such from my personal library; most are in good or very good condition. I am willing to ship books to friends and family (i.e. viewers of my vlog), so here are some guidelines:

1) A viewer must identify the given work (please post in the Comments section) and request it; please identify, at least, the title and, hopefully, the author.
2) Once I see requests, I will respond in the Comments section, identifying that Susie or Waleed has scored the given book.
3) Do NOT post your address in the Comments section.
4) The giveaway lasts through this week, Sunday, 10/7/12, and I will contact viewers of the vlog on Monday or Tuesday of next week; at that time, I will ask that you email me your address, so I can prepare the package.
5) I make NO guarantees about quality of book, marginalia (although I did try to note it if I saw it at first glance), speed of shipping, or availability.
6) Yes, this is first come, first score. Of course, if there was a book that you really wanted, you can ask me (after this week is over) to look in my storage locker, and I will see if I have another copy (several of these are triplicates, in fact).
7) No bad or negative vibes in the Comments section for the vlog (I will not respond to those who post on YouTube; YouTube, in my experience, is full of trolls, and this vlog is for my family and friends). Seriously, dudes and dudettes, this is supposed to be fun, so I won't put up with funny business.
